Categories and Eligibility

Open to all art directors, designers, illustrators, photographers and fine artists in all countries. Categories: advertising, graphic design, photography, illustration and fine art. Professional and student entries are judged separately.

We do not accept AI-generated images.

Awards

Winners work will now featured in our online Gallery and will become a part of our year-end published Annual. This year, instead of quarterly magazines, we’ve opted to include all winning entries from this year in our 2025 Creative Quarterly Annual, a hardbound book exhibiting all winners as well as listing all runners-up. You’ll receive a complimentary eBook version and can also purchase the printed Annual at a discount. Pre-orders for the printed Annual will begin in December.

As a winner or runner-up you are entitled to a complimentary award certificate pdf, and you may purchase a printed certificate in our online Shop.

FAQ

Does it matter if I’m a student or professional when entering the Quarterly Themes category?

No.

Can I enter both the Standard and the Portfolio categories?

Yes, and no. With the Standard entries there will be single entries and series entries; with a series entry it must have a single focus. With the Portfolio category you may enter individual pieces without regard to its use.

What’s the purpose of the Theme category?

In many art and photography shows, there is a theme and the work is judged on how well the theme is portrayed. We wanted to expand the work entered in our Photography category with an emphasis on a specific theme, with up to five images that best represent the theme.

What is the purpose of the Portfolio category?

This gives our judges a chance to see work without regard to context, client or whether it’s personal work or published. This category works best for creatives in advertising, graphic design, illustration and photography. Fine art portfolios will also be juried.

Can I enter the Standard category as well as the Theme and Portfolio categories.

What are the categories for Standard entries?

You can enter single or series work in Advertising, Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography or Fine Art.

How will the work be judged?

We will select specific images from each entrant that we feel best represents their work. Whether it’s a series or theme or portfolio. These selections will then be featured in our year-end printed Annual.

How will the winning entries be promoted?

We will feature the winners in the year-end Annual as well as promotion after each show on social media.

What are the fees for entering the show?

Standard entries: Professional, single $35, series $70. Students, single $20, series, $35. With the Theme and Portfolio entries it’s a flat fee of $35 for up to 5 images, $5 for each additional image.
